Y-Pout.

Y-Pout was a heavyweight robot built by Team Whyachi that competed in the final two seasons of BattleBots. It was a triangular three-wheeled robot which used its body and drive power as a weapon, spinning around and using the teeth on the ends of the body to do damage. A small "navbot" inside the robot would be the robot's direction-finder, and it would oscillate its wheel speeds to move in that direction. Despite this unique attempt at a movable thwackbot, Y-Pout had no success in competition, losing both battles it fought. It replaced Son of Whyachi in the Heavyweight category in which Team Whyachi were the defending champions at the beginning of Season 4.0.

Y-Pout also had a middleweight version of itself named Why Not.

Robot History

Season 4.0

Y-Pout's only match was against Jabberwock. In the match, Y-Pout started spinning and both robots collide into each other. Y-Pout was still spinning but it began to slow down. After Jabberwock collides into Y-Pout again, Y-Pout bounced off Jabberwock and hits the arena wall. This impact caused Y-Pout to stop moving entirely. The impact seemed to knock a battery pack loose inside Y-Pout. Jabberwock got underneath the immobile Y-Pout and stopped moving moments after. Despite this, Y-Pout was still being counted out and Jabberwock won by KO. This meant that Y-Pout was eliminated from the tournament.

Season 5.0

Y-Pout's only match in Season 5.0 was against P.T. Bruiser. In this match, P.T. Bruiser took heavy damage from the full-body spinner, to the point where the stuffed gorilla on its back was barely hanging on. However, P.T. Bruiser survived long enough to outlast Y-Pout, who eventually stopped moving. P.T. Bruiser won by TKO and Y-Pout was eliminated from the tournament again.
