Team Sinister were a team who first competed in the original 1994 Robot Wars event, led by Mark Setrakian. The team built two of the most unique and technologically impressive robots in the sport's history in Mechadon and Snake.

Mark Setrakian originally built and entered The Master for the 1994 to 1996 Robot Wars events, one of the first heavyweight combat robots in the United States. He also entered Snake into the Robot Wars 1997 event, where it lost to Scorpion.

Pete Abrahamson, Mark's team mate, took inspiration from the modular weapon system of The Master when he developed Ronin.

Team Sinister no longer compete, but both leading team members are still involved in the production of the BattleBots reboot. Whereas Mark Setrakian is responsible for building and maintaining the Axis series of robots that hold and display the Giant Nut, Peter Abrahamson has since taken the role of "Bot Whisperer", which saw him in front of camera for the first time during the 2020 season. He later took on the role of co-commentator for the 2022 re:MARS all:STARS BattleBots Challenge.
