Pegleg.
Pegleg was a middleweight robot which was built by Team Deranged for the first season of BattleBots. It was a one-legged walker with no weapon. Pegleg didn't have much success in BattleBots, being destroyed by Hazard in its first appearance in competition but surprisingly came back for the royal rumble.
Team Deranged also built middleweight entrant Spinster for Seasons 2.0 and 3.0, and lightweight entrant Gorange 3 for the Long Beach 1999 competition.
Robot History
Season 1.0
Pegleg gets slashed by Hazard.
In its first match it was against the overhead spinning blade of Hazard. It walked slowly in the blue square until Hazard destroyed Pegleg with one hit and was immobile. This meant that Pegleg was eliminated from the competition.
Pegleg jittering in the royal rumble.
Pegleg was not finished yet, however, as it was repaired in time for the middleweight royal rumble. Pegleg started walking before it got pushed against the spikestrip by Turtle. Pegleg was later pushed by Ankle Biter and no one attacked Pegleg for the rest of the rumble. Pegleg was still moving in the end but lost the rumble to Hazard.
