One Fierce Upper Cut

One Fierce Upper-Cut as it appeared for the 2004 NPC Charity Open.

One Fierce Upper-Cut (commonly shortened to OFUC) was a Beetleweight robot built by Fierce Robots that competed at the 2004 NPC Charity Open. It was a two wheeled, Orange, and Black, invertible robot armed with a powerful vertical spinning disc.

Despite losing its first match against 3A, OFUC did well in the competition, battling through the loser's bracket, and ultimately becoming the first, and so far only Beetleweight champion in BattleBots history.

OFUC would continue to compete, at numerous different events where it was extremely successful, only losing three times during its career outside of BattleBots until May of 2006 when it was retired making it one of the most successful Beetleweights of all time.

One Fierce Upper Cut's first opponent was 3A. It lost this fight and was now in the loser's bracket where it received a bye putting it in the next round against Itsa?. It won this fight, and this put it in the quarterfinals where it faced teammate One Fierce Weed Wacker. OFUC won this fight as well, and was now in the final quarterfinal round where it faced /dev/null.

Beating /dev/null put OFUC in the first of two semifinal rounds where it faced, and beat Fire Fly. This meant that OFUC was now in the loser's bracket finals where it faced Wallop. It won this fight placing it in the finals where it met Buzzkill. It beat Buzzkill, and became the NPC Charity Open Beetleweight champion.
