OJ was a superheavyweight robot from Boca Raton which competed in BattleBots Season 3.0.
Built as a senior class project by a team of Florida Atlantic University engineering students - led by Victor Garaycochea - it was a tall cylindrical full-body spinner with a black, silver and orange color scheme. To damage opponents, two cutting teeth were attached close to the lower rim of the cylinder. The robot was primarily funded by an $8,000 donation from the university.
In its only season of competition, OJ performed well, reaching the Round of 32 of the superheavyweight division before losing to rival spinner Phere. After this, it was retired and superseded by the less successful High Impact.

Superheavyweight Consolation Rumble OJ also participated the superheavyweight consolation rumble at the end of the tournament. It's unknown how well it performed, but it lost overall to Half Gassed and Whyachi. |
