As part of a series released by Road Champs in 2001, Mauler was one of the options for the Grip N' Grappler range and came with a practice bot. It is based on the Season 2.0 version of Mauler, due to the design on the spinning top. Like the other Grip N' Grapplers, the robot is physically attached to a trigger surrounded by a plastic casing that activates the robots' weapons. In the case of Mauler, the trigger activated the entire body. The quicker the trigger was pressed, the faster Mauler would spin. Like the Battle Bashers line, if the Grip N' Grapplers were struck in a certain location, they would "explode". Mauler's weak spots were two panels on the spinner. Oddly enough, in spite of the fact that the toy includes "5150" in Mauler's name, the toy's packaging and toy's stamp at the bottom do not. Mauler was also part of a Toys 'R Us Exclusive called Kings of the Battlebox, which also included Toro and Ziggo.
