Malicious Mischief was a heavyweight robot built by Team Malicious that competed in the first two competitions of BattleBots. It was armed with a spring-loaded axe weapon. At Long Beach, it won three of its fights and at Las Vegas, it both won and lost a fight. It was converted into the superheavyweight Grendel afterwards, which competed in Season 1.0 of BattleBots.
Robot History
Long Beach 1999
Malicious Mischief's first ever match was against K.I.S.S. Malicious Mischief won by KO and advanced to the next round, where it faced Vlad the Impaler. Vlad the Impaler won by crowd vote and Malicious Mischief was now in the loser's bracket. Malicious Mischief was scheduled to fight The Exterminator next, but The Exterminator had technical issues and was forced to forfeit. Malicious Mischief won by default and advanced to the next round, where it faced Juggernaut. Malicious Mischief won by crowd vote and advanced to the next round, where it faced Nightmare. Nightmare won by KO and Malicious Mischief was eliminated from the tournament.
Malicious Mischief wasn't finished, however, as it participated the gigabot royal rumble at the end of the tournament.
Las Vegas 1999
Malicious Mischief was scheduled to fight Mr. Bonestripper first, but Mr. Bonestripper had technical issues and was forced to forfeit. Malicious Mischief won by default and advanced to the round of 16, where it faced KillerHurtz.
Malicious Mischief only got one hit on KillerHurtz and KillerHurtz mostly kept slamming into Malicious Mischief until time ran out. KillerHurtz won on a 7-2 judge's decision and Malicious Mischief was eliminated from the tournament again.
Malicious Mischief wasn't finished, however, as it participated the heavyweight royal rumble at the end of the tournament.
