Knome II was a heavyweight robot built by Jerome Miles and Team Duct Tape, competing exclusively in Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.

Entered as a successor to Miles' Long Beach 1999 Kilobot (lightweight) entry Knome, it was a silver and yellow, humanoid-style robot with a design resembling a crash test dummy. As weaponry, it was fitted with a static ramming scoop attached to the ends of the dummy's 'arms'. A decorative pinwheel was attached to the rear-left corner.

Knome II enjoyed very limited success in its only competitive appearance, which saw it being defeated by Long Beach 1999 finalist KillerHurtz in the main heavyweight division. The dummy itself was heavily damaged by both the UK Robot Wars veteran and again by Mauler in the subsequent Heavyweight Royal Rumble.

Knome II did not return after Season 1.0.

Robot History

Season 1.0
Knome II vs. KillerHurtz Knome II decapitated by KillerHurtz. Knome II's first opponent was against the British axe of KillerHurtz. Knome II started out slow, barely leaving its starting square before being axed by KillerHurtz, decapitating the head in the process. KillerHurtz then destroyed the top frame of Knome II and charged at Knome II, but ended up stuck against the spike strip. Both robots were immobile, but it was clearly Knome II who was out first due to its speed controller failing. Killerhurtz was awarded the win by knockout and Knome II was eliminated from the tournament.
Heavyweight Royal Rumble Knome II gets decapitated again by The Mauler in the royal rumble. Knome II later came back for the Heavyweight Royal Rumble, where it was decapitated again, this time by the spinning maces of Mauler. It meandered around the edge of the box for a few more seconds before being pushed into the spike strip by OverKill and Punjar. The rumble was ultimately won by BioHazard.
