Gone Postal

Gone Postal as it appeared for the 2004 NPC Charity Open.

Gone Postal was a hobbyweight robot built by Robotic-Hobbies that competed at the 2004 NPC Charity Open. It was a two-wheeled, Blue, and White, box wedge shaped robot armed with an electric powered axe.

Gone Postal did not do well in the competition, as it lost both of its battles. The team that built Gone Postal also built antweights The Mailman, and Decidedly Undecided, as well as middleweight Papercut, none of which did particularly well. Gone Postal would continue competing for one more year at various other events where it was rather successful until it was retired in early 2005.

Gone Postal stops VBT12's spinner with its hammer

Gone Postal jams up VBT12's vertical spinner.

Gone Postal's first fight was against VBT12. This fight started with VBT12 getting up to speed, however once the two robots collided Gone Postal jammed up VBT12's spinner with its axe, stopping it dead in its tracks. However it lodged so deeply into VBT12 that the match had to be paused to separate the robots.

Once the match resumed VBT12 used its vertical spinner to flip Gone Postal onto its back. Gone Postal however quickly self righted, and delivered a hit to VBT12's spinning disc with its hammer. However VBT12 then delivered a hit of its own that not only sent Gone Postal flying, but it also ripped the top off of Gone Postal, and sent its batteries spilling out across the arena. as a result of this attack Gone Postal tapped out.

Natasha shoves Gone Postal around

Natasha shoves Gone Postal around.

This loss put Gone Postal in the loser's bracket where after receiving a bye, it faced Natasha. As soon as this fight started Gone Postal came out of its square, and Natasha was not moving. Gone Postal then hit Natasha with its axe, which got Natasha moving around the arena wildly.

Natasha then got under Gone Postal, and slammed it into the wall, Gone Postal then got a few hits in on Natasha, which then slammed it into the wall once more. Following this, Natasha got in behind Gone Postal, and rammed it into the wall, near the pulverizers, which were disabled for the Hobbyweight fights.

The robots then drove around for a while, before Gone Postal got some hits in with its axe. Natasha then drove into the arena wall, before freeing itself, and shoving Gone Postal halfway across the arena. It then shoved Gone Postal into the non-functioning Pulverizers before shoving it into the wall again. Natasha would then deliver one more slam into the walls as the clock ran down, Gone Postal lost the resulting judges decision, and was eliminated from the competition.
