G.O.R.T. was a superheavyweight robot which competed in Season 5.0 of BattleBots (it also attended Season 3.0 but had to forfeit to Armageddon). It was a dome-shaped robot armed with a retracting spike. It was inspired by the movie The Day the Earth Stood Still (the shape after the flying saucers and the name after a character in the movie). It did not do well in competition, losing its only fight. Despite this, it was very popular in the pits due to the team's means of transporting it (they used an oil derrick type crane to carry it around).
In it's only fight, it was destroyed by Phrizbee-Ultimate.
G.O.R.T. stood for "Good Ol Robotic Texan", as the team was from Texas (as evidenced in the robot's paint job). It was also inspired by the movie The Day the Earth Stood Still where the robot was named "Gort".

Season 3.0[]
G.O.R.T was going to fight Armageddon in it's first ever fight, but G.O.R.T. had technical issues and was forced to forfeit. Armageddon won by default and G.O.R.T was eliminated.
Season 5.0[]
Phrizbee-Ultimate bounces off G.O.R.T.
G.O.R.T's first and only match of the season was against Phrizbee-Ultimate. Phrizbee-Ultimate won the match by KO and G.O.R.T was eliminated from the tournament.
