Wut was a middleweight robot built by students from Miami, Florida going under the team name Lunatic Fringe which competed in the inaugural BattleBots IQ competition held in 2002.

It was a black, two-wheeled, invertible robot armed with a horizontal spinning flywheel. Wut did poorly in the event, winning only one fight and being eliminated in the second round of the loser's bracket. It is not known to have competed again after BBIQ 2002.

BattleBots IQ 2002[]

Wut vs. Lethal Dosage

Entering the inaugural BattleBots IQ event in 2002, the team would first fight Lethal Dosage. They would win here, advancing to the second round.

Wut vs. Kaibosch

After this, Lethal Dosage would face future Royal Rumble winner Kaibosch. It would be defeated by them, and consequently would be relegated to the loser's bracket.

Wut vs. E2

Next, Lethal Dosage would fight E2. It would be defeated again, and as a result, eliminated from the tournament entirely.

Wut vs. Nightstalker vs. Kaibosch vs. Balronic Wedge vs. South High School BattleBot vs. Playbot vs. FLIP vs. Deborah vs. Gatorblade

Wut was not done yet, however, as it would also take part in a nine robot Consolation Rumble at the end of the competition, including against Kaibosch, who relegated them from the Winner's Bracket. Deborah and Kaibosch were declared the winners and advanced to the Grand Rumble, at the expense of Wut.
