Wee Willy Wedgy was a middleweight robot built by 13-year old Jeff McLay with help from Team Robot Dojo which competed in the inaugural BattleBots IQ event, as well as Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
As its name suggests, Wee Willy Wedgy was wedge-shaped by design and featured with no active weaponry. The chassis was made from welded 0.035" 4130 aluminum tubing, and it used large tires for additional traction and pushing power.[1] Despite its simplistic design, Wee Willy Wedgy was very successful, becoming champion of the first BattleBots IQ tournament and also reaching the Round of 32 in Season 5.0.
Team Robot Dojo entered a multitude of other robots into BattleBots, such as Pro-AM and Agitator.
Wee Willy Wedgy remains in the possesion of Jeff McLay.
Outside BattleBots[]
Team Robot Dojo also competed in Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors and Nickelodeon Robot Wars with Propeller-Head, Diskotek and loanerbot Humdrum, as well as Robotica with Flexy Flyer.
