THWAK! was a middleweight robot built by Mike Regan and Team Vicious. It was a long, wedge-shaped robot armed with a vertically-spinning bar.

It competed in Season 3.0 of BattleBots, winning three fights before losing to Twin Paradox in the Round of 32. Team Vicious previously competed in BattleBots with middleweight champion Spaz and lightweight Scrub.

"'THWAK!' is a new robot that I wanted to build for BattleBots season 3. As those who have been here before probably know, THWAK started of as a Heavyweight robot. Well, in traditional Team Vicious style, I just hate to build a robot I can't pick up and move around by myself... It makes it harder to build and load into my car! So, THWAK under went a few changes and has now become a Middleweight robot"
— Mike Regan on the Team Vicious website

THWAK! was being rebuilt for Season 5.0 with only the back wedge and motor placement being kept from the first middleweight THWAK!. The body was widened and the motors was now directly bolted to metal plates, instead of the weak side bolted manner they were previously mounted in. Mike also started to frame in the motors with 2" tube steel, as a replacement for the fiberglass covers of the previous version. It was planned to also have a lifter instead of a spinning bar.

Psychotron flips THWAK! onto its back.

THWAK!'s first ever match in BattleBots was against Psychotron. For this match, Psychotron's rear spikes were covered by a block of wood to prevent damage from THWAK!'s spinning bar. Psychotron was the aggressor in this fight, chasing THWAK! around the arena and flipping THWAK! onto its back, immobilizing its spinning weapon. It even pinned THWAK! against the arena wall at one point in the match. However, THWAK! was able to cause some damage to Psychotron's wedge and it managed to get underneath the front of Psychotron with its wedge after it was flipped. THWAK! won on a controversial 23-22 judges' decision and advanced to the next preliminary round, where it faced Mobster.

THWAK! vs. Mobster

In the beginning of the match, Mobster's side panel was sent flying by THWAK!'s spinning bar. While this was happening, the crowd was cheering at the destruction. After another hit from THWAK!'s spinning bar, Mobster stopped moving due to an internal wiring coming off. Mobster was now being counted out and THWAK! won by KO in 42 seconds. This win put THWAK! to the final preliminary round, where it faced Traxx.

THWAK! vs. Traxx

THWAK! won on a 36-9 judges' decision and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced Twin Paradox.

THWAK! gets stuck on the spikestrip.

After both robots were tossed on the killsaws, THWAK! was flipped onto its back and both robots were moving around each other. After this, the flipped THWAK! got its rear wedge stuck under the spikestrip and Twin Paradox gets caught on the killsaws again. THWAK! couldn't escape the spikestrip and it was now being counted out. Twin Paradox won by KO at 1:37 and THWAK! was eliminated from the tournament.

Middleweight Consolation Rumble

THWAK! also participated the middleweight consolation rumble at the end of the tournament.
