- "A monstrous version of Ginsu was in the back by the safety inspection area. This HUGE Super Ginsu dwarfed pretty much everything. I can't imagine that it was any less than 500lbs. That's a large office desk on which this machine sits. I think those blades are about 3 feet in diameter!"
- — Jim Smentowski on Super Ginsu.[1]
Super Ginsu was a robot built by BattleBots co-creators Trey Roski and Greg Munson with the intention of serving as a demonstration robot during Season 4.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
Estimated to weigh around 500lbs,[1] Super Ginsu was reserved for demonstrations as it was heavier than the 340lb superheavyweight limit. Like smaller versions of Ginsu, Super Ginsu utilized large SystiMatic saw blades for wheels, which doubled up as its method of attack.
For unknown reasons, however, Super Ginsu did not fight. However, it was present in the BattleBox for photos with BattleBots crew. It also featured in the canceled BattleBots video game, where it was billed to weigh 482lbs.
It is not known who or what Super Ginsu was scheduled to fight, nor is it known what happened to Super Ginsu after Comedy Central BattleBots ended.
