Speed Bump XL was a middleweight robot entered by Team X-Bots that competed in the final two BattleBots seasons. It was similar to its lightweight counterpart Speed Bump, but it was armed with a spinning drum alongside the lifting arm. It had to forfeit its only Season 4.0 battle, but won one fight in Season 5.0 before losing. Team X-Bots also entered heavyweight Speedy in Season 5.0. Speed Bump XL also entered the NPC Charity Event, where it reached the winner's quarter-finals.
Speed Bump XL entered Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors as Buzz.
After receiving a bye in the first round, Speed Bump XL was scheduled to fight Moebius. However, Speed Bump XL had technical issues and was forced to forfeit. Moebius won by default and Speed Bump XL was eliminated from the tournament.
Season 5.0[]
Speed Bump XL vs. Crash Test Junior
Speed Bump XL knocks the hat off of Crash Test Junior.
Speed Bump XL's first match in Season 5.0 was against Crash Test Junior. After Speed Bump XL knocks Crash Test Junior's hat off, Speed Bump XL won the fight on a close 24-21 judges' decision and advanced to the next preliminary round, where it faced Scrap Daddy Flipskanker.

Scrap Daddy Flipskanker won the fight on a 28-17 judges' decision and Speed Bump XL was eliminated from the tournament again.

Speed Bump XL gets hit by Death Drum.
After receiving a bye in the first round, Speed Bump XL went up against Death Drum in the Round of 16. Both robots had control issues in this fight. Death Drum hit Speed Bump XL a few times until the end of the fight. Before the time ran out, Death Drum had lost drive in its left wheel. Speed Bump XL won the fight on a judges' decision and advanced to the winner's quarter-finals, where it faced Z.I.P.

Speed Bump XL gets slammed against the arena wall by Z.I.P.
Speed Bump XL gets pushed into the pulverizer by Z.I.P.
Z.I.P. sped out, bouncing off the arena floor, before beginning to slam Speed Bump XL around the arena. Speed Bump XL stopped moving but came back to life when it was slammed against the wall. Speed Bump XL was then pushed under the pulverizer by Z.I.P. Speed Bump XL and Z.I.P. controlled the rest of the match. In the end, Z.I.P. won the fight on a judges' decision and Speed Bump XL was now in the loser's bracket.

Speed Bump XL's first and only opponent in the loser's bracket was Easty Beast. Easty Beast controlled this match as it clamped into Speed Bump XL for the majority of the match. Easty Beast also lifted Speed Bump XL twice and took it to the pulverizer at one point. In the end, the time ran out and Easty Beast won the match on a judges' decision. This meant that Speed Bump XL was eliminated from the tournament.
