Russell's Paradigm was a superheavyweight robot built by Ken Russell which attended the 2004 NPC Charity Open.

It was a five-legged walkerbot constructed mostly out of steel tubing, and armed with a hydraulic harpoon which it could position and fire at opponents. A unique aspect of this robot aside from its weapon was that its legs were powered by hydraulics. Russell's Paradigm had one central leg with a flat base, which propped the rest of the robot up and allowed it to spin in order to rotate in any direction.

Russel's Paradigm did not compete in the main competition, though it was present for a tech demo and fought in a post-competition seven robot rumble.

Russell's Paradigm vs. Black Knight vs. Megabyte vs. Super Megabyte vs. Mer Madd vs. Warrior vs. HazMatXD

Russell's Paradigm fought in a single seven robot rumble comprised of lightweight, heavyweight and superheavyweight competitors. It was largely ignored in the opening seconds until Super Megabyte became caught in its legs. The walker was pulled across the arena before the smaller Megabyte attacked its vulnerable legs. Upon being rammed by Mer Madd, Russell's Paradigm collapsed awkwardly in the corner where it remained for the rest of the rumble. Super Megabyte was declared the overall rumble winner.
