Team LOGICOM are an active team that has competed in every televised BattleBots competition since Season 3.0 on Comedy Central.
Based in Ormond Beach, Florida, the team are captained by veteran competitor Brian Nave and are renowned for their shell spinner designs. They are best known for their current heavyweight design which competes in Discovery's BattleBots competitions - Captain Shrederator.
Outside BattleBots[]
Team LOGICOM competed in Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors and Nickelodeon Robot Wars with The Revolutionist - a repurposed Phrizbee - and Spin Doctor - Bambulance with an ambulance theme.
In Season 1 of Extreme Warriors, The Revolutionist escaped its six-way battle and beat The Brute, but lost to eventual champion Todd Mendenhall and Panzer Mk 2. As the season runner-up, it qualified for the Second World Championship, but lost its four-way first round melee to Razer. Team LOGICOM returned for Season 2 of Extreme Warriors, but despite seeing off Trackzilla and Psycho Chicken with ease, The Revolutionist crashed out in their heat to overhead spinner Propeller-Head.
In Nickelodeon Robot Wars, The Revolutionist was largely unchanged, but had mixed success throughout. It was paired with the team's second entry Spin Doctor and represented the USA in the International Tag Team special. Team LOGICOM won their US qualifier before crashing out to UK pairing Rick and Ming 3. In the Mayhem special, The Revolutionist again won their first round battle, but lost again in the three-way final to Propeller-Head after knocking out its own power link.
In 2018, Team LOGICOM entered the Chinese show This is Fighting Robots with a variation on Captain Shrederator painted black and called Shrederator Tiger Claw. The robot proved much more successful than its domestic-competing cousin, becoming a central figure in Sa Beining's yellow team and becoming the only member of his squad to advance to the final bracket. There, it defeated the British axe bot Vulcan to reach the top four before losing to Tungsten. Despite an extremely close match with Xiake in the third place playoff, the judges ultimately declared the battle in favor of the Chinese machine, resigning Shrederator Tiger Claw to fourth place overall.
They returned under the same guise for the second season of King of Bots, where Shrederator Tiger Claw was among the final wave of challenger robots to join the field. Due to its late appearance in the main competition, Shrederator Tiger Claw took part in several whiteboard matches before the season began. In its first, it avenged its previous loss to Xiake in dominant fashion, while in the second it fought Australian axe bot Huntsman in a bout whose eventual outcome remains contentious; the Huntsman team maintains they were declared the winners, while Team LOGICOM refers to the battle as a draw.
In the main competition, Shrederator Tiger Claw joined the team of Huang Jian Xiang, which also contained old opponents Vulcan and Xiake. Shrederator Tiger Claw was slated to represent Huang Jian Xiang's team in the Attrition War stage, but the team emerged victorious before Team LOGICOM could have their battle. Instead, in its first battle of the season, Shrederator Tiger Claw took on the Chinese flipper Saber, but despite a strong start the shell spinner eventually became immobilized due to the magnets within it getting stuck on. Team LOGICOM's robot would not enter the arena again until the final Attrition War, where it was slated to take on former champion Spectre. However, due to an issue while loading into the arena, Shrederator Tiger Claw was unable to drive in a controlled fashion, and was forced to forfeit the match. Despite this, Huang Jian Xiang's team eventually won the championship, allowing Shrederator Tiger Claw to be crowned co-champion without winning a main competition battle.
