Avatar was a middleweight robot which competed in Season 3.0 of Comedy Central's BattleBots. It was a black wedge-shaped robot with spikes on the back. While the spikes were potential weapons, the primary mode of attack was via speed. The robot could achieve over 20 mph with a 180 pound human sitting on the top of the robot. A key feature, which allowed for the inclusion of a very large DC electric motor, was that the frame of the robot was constructed using carbon fiber tubes. The cover was aluminum. This combination of materials made the overall robot quite light. However, it lost its only battle to Li'l Chipper and never returned to another BattleBots competition. The loss was due to an electrical malfunction in the control system of the robot that occurred immediately after the start of the round. Team members were engineering students at The University of Tulsa.

In its first match Avatar faced Li'l Chipper. Li'l Chipper won by KO in 34 seconds and advanced to the next preliminary round, eliminating Avatar from the competition.
