Atomic Wedgie was one of nine BattleBots competitors produced by Jakks Pacific in 2001 as part of their Battle Bashers line of toys.
It is a strong representation of the Season 2.0 build of Atomic Wedgie, with smaller details such as the treads and graphics across its front wedge replicated. However, due to the trigger button being placed across the leading edge of its front wedge, this made its difficult for the Atomic Wedgie toy to get underneath other robots during play.
The toy's tracks were purely aesthetic, as a friction motor powering two drive wheels underneath served as the toy's means of driving. However, this also meant the Atomic Wedgie toy was not invertible, as it was in the show.
As with other toys in the range, Atomic Wedgie had a trigger button at the front which, when activated, would 'explode' the robot. In the case of Atomic Wedgie, the side panels would fly outward and the top half of the wedge panel would fling upward upon being triggered. The wedges underneath the prongs for the primary weapon could also be detached to imitate damage.
Alpha Raptor was available in the first, second and third editions of Battle Bashers, in both standard and 'battle damaged' variants.
