Fast Forward was a middleweight robot which competed in the final three seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was an invertible, four-wheel drive octagonal robot armed with a spinning cutter. The bot was sponsored by a friend of captain Phil Houdek who worked at TiVo.[1] It did not do well in competition, winning only one battle in three seasons.

After BattleBots, Fast Forward was renamed Hypersonic. The team also had plans to design a heavyweight named Full Smash although no pictures or details of the build were ever released[2]

Season 3.0[]

Fast Forward's first ever match was against The Annihilator. Fast Forward won on a 32-13 judges' decision and advanced to next preliminary round, where it faced Twin Paradox. Twin Paradox won on a close 23-22 split judges' decision and Fast Forward was eliminated from the tournament.

Season 4.0[]

After receiving two bye, Fast Forward was fought Malvolio for a spot in the TV rounds. Malvolio's spinner arm was a bit bent, and thus a bit unbalanced and shaky. However, it still worked well enough. After a few hits, carefully tracking his opponent around the box and keeping the weapon pointed at him, he got in a nice shot on Fast Forward's back armor and tore it open. Fast Forward's battery pack was ejected and dragging on the floor. He paused, then started retreating. Malvolio smelled blood, and another hit took the battery off and Fast Forward stopped moving. Malvolio won by KO and Fast Forward was eliminated from the tournament.

Season 5.0[]

Fast Forward's first and only Season 5.0 match was against Lobotomy after receiving bye. but Lobotomy was won and Fast Forward was eliminated from the tournament once again.
