El Diablo was one of nine BattleBots competitors produced by Jakks Pacific in 2001 as part of their Battle Bashers line of toys.
It is based on the Season 2.0 version of Zach Bieber's middleweight runner-up, due to the spiked drum and front mounted horns. It is a strong representation of El Diablo, with details such as its team decals, side flames and uniquely designed drum represented in the toy.
Much like Atomic Wedgie, the treads on El Diablo's Battle Bashers toy were static and two smaller, friction-driven wheels were housed underneath. Due to this, it is not invertible. The motor was connected to a small pulley to the left side of the toy's weapon via O-ring. The rear forks are hinged, meaning they are able to articulate.
As with other toys in the range, El Diablo had a trigger button which, when activated, would 'explode' the robot. In the case of El Diablo, its top panel and treads would lift away from the rest of the robot.
