Defenestrator was a Middleweight robot built by a group of students from Columbus, Indiana (going under the team name SHENbot) that competed in the inaugural BattleBots IQ tournament. It was a two wheeled, yellow robot armed with a pneumatic flipping arm similar in design to T-Minus. It is unknown how well Defenestrator did in the competition, although the fact that the team won the "Best Operators" award suggests that it did well.
Robot History
BattleBots IQ 2002
It is mostly unknown whom Defenestrator faced in the tournament. It is known that it lost to E2. However weather this was in the winners, or loser's bracket is still unclear. Either way Defenestrator eventually found itself in the loser's bracket after losing its first fight where it faced Happy Scrappy Hero Pup.
Happy Scrappy Hero Pup started this match with half of its drive missing. As a result of this it could not turn quick enough to get its weapon into play, and Defenestrator promptly lifted it onto the spike strips, this caused HSHP to hit itself with its own, and bend its weapon frame. Unable to free itself from the spike strips Happy Scrappy Hero Pup was promptly counted out.[1]
It is unknown what happened after this fight, and as of 2016 it is unknown if Defenestrator participated in the Consolation Rumble at the event.
