Death Ray's Season 5.0 appearance.

Death Ray was a lightweight robot which competed in the final two seasons of BattleBots. It was a V-shaped robot armed with a lifting spatula. It performed decently in competition, reaching the round of 64 in the final season. Death Ray continued competing after BattleBots as Orca, becoming one of the best robots in the weightclass.

The team that built Death Ray also competed in the superheavyweight division with Neptune, which didn't compete as much nor had as much luck.

Death Ray's Season 4.0 appearance.

Season 4.0

The Death Ray and Locomotion circled each other, trying to get position, and eventually Locomotion landed a shove squarely on Death Ray and a part flew off. More circling, and then Death Ray got underneath Locomotion, but wasn't able to flip over. It pushed Locomotion a bit while under the shufflebot, but Locomotion got off and when Death Ray tried to hammer Locomotion with its lifter/hammer weapon, Death Ray lifted itself up, and Locomotion got under and smacked it into the spike strips. In the end, Locomotion won a 32-13 decision, mostly on damage.
