Crabmeat (originally spelled Crab Meat) was a heavyweight robot which competed in Seasons 3.0 and 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was a dune buggy-like robot armed with a front hinged wedge. It performed decently in BattleBots, winning three matches over two seasons.

The team that built Crabmeat also competed with middleweight Arachnobot in Season 5.0.

Robot History

Season 3.0
Crab Meat vs. My Son Crab Meat's first ever match in BattleBots was against My Son. Crab Meat won the fight by KO at 1:11 and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced Son of Whyachi.
Crab Meat vs. Son of Whyachi Crab Meat takes a massive hit from Son of Whyachi. Crabmeat after its fight against Son of Whyachi. Crab Meat took several deadly hits from Son of Whyachi's hammers, bending its wheels and having one removed completely. Eventually, Crab Meat stopped moving and Son of Whyachi won by KO at 1:42. This meant that Crab Meat was eliminated from the tournament. Because Crab Meat lost in the round of 64, Crab Meat couldn't participate the Heavyweight Consolation Rumble at the end of the tournament.
Season 5.0
Crab Meat vs. Bullistic Crabmeat's first match in Season 5.0 was against Bullistic. Crabmeat won the fight on a 37-8 judges' decision and advanced to the next preliminary round, where it faced Botknocker-19.
Crab Meat vs. Botknocker-19 (Forfeit) However, Botknocker-19 had technical issues and was forced to forfeit. Crabmeat won the fight by default and advanced to the final preliminary round, where it faced Heart of Gold.
Crab Meat vs. Heart of Gold Heart of Gold won the fight on a close 25-20 judges' decision and Crabmeat was eliminated from the tournament again.

Outside BattleBots

After BattleBots ended, Crabmeat competed in Robocide: Showdown in O-Town, where it did surprisingly well, winning the whole event despite facing some fearsome competition. Crabmeat also competed in Robot Fighting League 2003 as well as two Battle Beach tournaments in 2004 and 2005 respectively before it was retired.
