Captain Insane-O was a middleweight robot that fought in Season 4.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was a box-shaped robot armed with a spinning drum that could spin up to 4000 rpm along with a rear wedge. It did decently, reaching the round of 64 before losing to Short Order Chef.
It was built by a college team from San Diego which had previously entered with the middleweight Mr. Sucko.

Captain Insane-O vs. Sawzz-All Captain Insane-O's first ever match was against Sawzz-All. Captain Insane-O took an early advantage by clashing weapons with Sawzz-All and stopped its spinning disc. Captain Insane-O continued attacking Sawzz-All with its spinning drum and flipped it over multiple times. Captain Insane-O's spinning drum stopped and started pushing Sawzz-All around the BattleBox. Captain Insane-O came back and delivered one more hit on Sawzz-All. Sawzz-All was being counted out and Captain Insane-O won by KO. This win put Captain Insane-O to the final preliminary round, where it faced Botulism. |
Captain Insane-O vs. Botulism In the beginning of the match, Botulism started spinning its dome and clashed with Captain Insane-O's spinning drum a few times. Soon there were dents in Botulism and something had broken on Captain Insane-O so that its spinning drum started hitting the BattleBox floor intermittently. The weapons continued to collide and when Botulism saw that it wasn't doing any more damage, Botulism started using its rear clamping arm. Botulism was lifting Captain Insane-O, but drops it on the BattleBox floor. Before the match ended, Captain Insane-O got one last good hit on Botulism. Captain Insane-O won on a 28-17 judges' decision and it was now in the TV rounds, where it faced Short Order Chef. |
Captain Insane-O vs. Short Order Chef  Short Order Chef pushing Captain Insane-O. In the match, Short Order Chef was caught on the killsaws and landed on top of Captain Insane-O. After that, both robots would either avoid each other or started pushing each other. The time ran out soon after and Short Order Chef won on a close 23-22 judges' decision. This meant that Captain Insane-O was eliminated from the tournament. Because it lost in the round of 64, Captain Insane-O couldn't participate the Middleweight Consolation Rumble at the end of the tournament. |
