Bite Force was one of four BattleBots competitors to be chosen by HEXBUG for the first and only wave of their Push Strike line of toys, released in 2016.
As with other toys released in the line, it is based on the World Championship I design of Bite Force, evidenced by its lifting primary weapon. Due to complications concerning replicating the treads Bite Force used in the 2015 season, the black treads on the Push Strike toy are purely decorative with four small wheels driving it underneath. The toy's weapon is activated by pressing a small tab behind the lifter, which connects a gear to the shaft holding the weapon in place.
This Push Strike toy is relatively highly detailed, with the bot's intricate side armor and weapon scaled down well. Even the serrated edges of the grabbing arm were molded into the toy, and the "APYTX" team logo is present on the front. The blue used on the weapon, however, is slightly darker than on its real-life counterpart. As well as this, the functional gear powering its weapon is white on the toy, whereas the sprocket holding the weapon chain was black on the first iteration of Bite Force. This was resolved for its Clutch and Clash release.
A second Bite Force toy was touted to be released alongside Wave 2 of HEXBUG's Push Strike series in 2017, based on its evolved vertical spinner design from World Championship II.[1] Despite being prototyped, like others in the wave, this second edition of Bite Force was never released.
