It was a larger version of the team's middleweight entry, Bouncing Betty, sporting very similar design and weaponry. Unfortunately, Big Betty had technical issues and was forced to forfeit its first match in both seasons it participated in. Big Betty returned for the 2005 BattleBots Rochester R3 event, where it became the heavyweight champion.
Big Betty was scheduled to fight Stealth Terminator in its first BattleBots fight, but Big Betty had technical issues and was forced to forfeit. Stealth Terminator won by default and Big Betty was eliminated from the tournament.

Big Betty vs. Vlad the Impaler II (Forfeit)
Big Betty was scheduled to fight Vlad the Impaler II in its first fight of Season 5.0, but Big Betty once again had technical issues and was forced to forfeit. Vlad the Impaler II won by default and Big Betty was eliminated from the tournament again.

Big Betty's first fight was against Canadian entry CycloneBot. When the match began, the two bots approached each other near the red square before CycloneBot started spinning. Big Betty circled around and then charged right into the sit-and-spin bot, sending both bots in opposite directions and suffering a huge dent on the left side of the wedge. Big Betty soon went for another charge, this time getting spun around and slightly bumping CycloneBot away from the wall. Big Betty then moved away and waited until CycloneBot stopped spinning, before it charged in again, pushing it off the wall and then shoving it back into the wall with its rear end. After the pushing match moved to the center of the arena, Big Betty moved away, allowing CycloneBot to spin up again. Moments later, Big Betty charged in again, the first hit spinning it around and sending CycloneBot away, the second hit sending CycloneBot closer to the wall, the third hit off-screen not doing much, and the fourth hit causing Big Betty to ram into the wall in the process as CycloneBot slowed down. After a bit of maneuvering, CycloneBot spun up again, so Big Betty continued to charge at it. While the first and second hits didn't do much, the third hit sent CycloneBot in the air and closer to the wall, and the fourth hit causing CycloneBot to ride down Big Betty's wedge and into the wall, forcing CycloneBot to stop spinning and try to move away from it. After a while of Big Betty keeping CycloneBot in the corner, CycloneBot moved out of the corner and started spinning again, prompting Big Betty to give chase and take more hits from the sit-and-spin bot. After a couple of hits, Big Betty sent CycloneBot into the corner near the pulverizer, eventually getting under,
but CycloneBot escaped before the pulverizer could land a hit. After delivering more rams to the weary CycloneBot, the match made the distance. Big Betty won the judges decision, advancing it to the next round.
Big Betty vs. REDRUM (Forfeit)
Big Betty was pitted against the powerful drum of REDRUM. However, Big Betty's mechanical gremlins struck one last time and it was forced to forfeit the match. This meant that Big Betty was now in the losers bracket.
Big Betty vs. Bane
After suffering its first loss, Big Betty faced Bane. Big Betty took the win and advanced to the losers bracket semi-finals where it faced Tetracide.
Big Betty vs. Tetracide

As soon as this fight started, Tetracide came out and immediately flipped Big Betty over. Big Betty, however, was unable to self right and attempted to use its upper body as a clamping jaw. Before it could do that however, Tetracide flipped it again. Big Betty then stalled in the middle of the arena and Tetracide flipped it once more. Before Big Betty could regain its footing, Tetracide delivered another flip, putting Big Betty back upright. Big Betty then tried to get under Tetracide again, however its ground clearance was higher than that of Tetracide, which nearly flipped Big Betty again.
Big Betty then got under Tetracide and attempted a lift, but Tetracide slid off of Big Betty's wedge, and fired its flipper which Big Betty grabbed. This allowed Big Betty to get under Tetracide and take it to the wall where it tried, and failed to use its lifter once again. This broke Tetracide's flipper and Big Betty got underneath and lifted it up, however it was unable to do anything with it and let it go. Big Betty then clamped down on Tetracide before lifting it against the arena wall, but Tetracide stayed on its wheels. It then clamped its lifting arm down on Tetracide once more and took it to the opposite arena wall, nearly into the pulverizers. Tetracide then stalled in the middle of the arena and Big Betty attempted to take it to the pulverizers, but failed as Tetracide managed to get away as the clock ran down.Big Betty won the resulting judges decision and advanced to the losers bracket finals where it finally faced REDRUM.

When the match began, Big Betty charged into REDRUM's square to stop the drum, but REDRUM maneuvered away to the center of the arena, getting its drum up to speed. Fortunately, REDRUM's drum conked out not long after, most likely due to its internal combustion engine stalling, so Big Betty went at the drum spinner again and stopped it with ease, nearly getting a lift in the process. REDRUM changed its strategy and used its rear wedge, so Big Betty tried to maneuver around it, getting out-wedged and pushed momentarily. Big Betty then moved away to the center of the arena, before charging back in and getting to the side. REDRUM, however, immediately turned around to face with its wedge, so Big Betty got pushed on its side and back momentarily. Big Betty moved away and bumped REDRUM while charging into the corner and turned to face it head on, but it got wedged on the left side before rolling off. This process repeated several more times until Big Betty went face-to-face and got out-wedged and pushed to the corner, where the pulverizer was waiting to strike. Fortunately, it escaped before the Pulverizer could fire, and Big Betty came face to face again. Yet again, however, it got out-wedged and pushed into the corner in the path of the pulverizer. Just as it fired, however, Big Betty reversed out of the way, making the pulverizer hit REDRUM instead. Once REDRUM moved out of the corner, Big Betty took the second shot before coming out of the corner as well. The process continued with Big Betty trying and failing to get under REDRUM until it was finally able to get under the wedge and lift REDRUM on its disabled drum, stranding it. With no way to get itself back on its wheels, REDRUM was presumably counted out, giving Big Betty the win by KO and advancing it to the finals.

Now in the final, Big Betty faced Team LOGICOM and Phrizbee. However, instead its opponent sporting the traditional shell spinner, Phrizbee was equipped with the infrequently used wedge and bar spinner setup, minus the bar. When the match began, the two bots came at each other and Big Betty went under Phrizbee immediately, but Phrizbee slipped off not long after. After a bit of maneuvering, Big Betty rode over Phrizbee's wedge and got high-centered. When Phrizbee tried to carry it over to the pulverizer, Big Betty touched the floor again and escaped before it could be driven under the pulverizer. After a bit of maneuvering, Big Betty clashed head-to-rear before swinging around and getting under momentarily, later raising its arm up to clamp whenever Phrizbee rides up Big Betty's wedge. The battle for position went on with the two opponents bumping each other to no one's benefit until Big Betty rode over Phrizbee's wedge momentarily. After a few more bumps, Big Betty was briefly pushed by Phrizbee. When Phrizbee reversed into the wall, Big Betty tried to capitalize, but only managed to slightly bump it and run into the wall. The shoving match continued with Big Betty getting shoved from the sides by Phrizbee until it was finally able to charge straight on and get under the wedgebot, but it slipped off before Big Betty could get a clamp on it. After a bit of maneuvering, Big Betty connected with the back of Phrizbee and started getting into a pushing match, eventually causing Phrizbee's left side drive motor to burn up and die, emitting smoke in the process. With Phrizbee crippled, Big Betty tried to capitalize by getting under from the side, but Phrizbee turned and pointed with its wedge, causing Big Betty to ride over Phrizbee briefly. Big Betty continued to circle around Phrizbee as the wedgebot continued to emit smoke, before charging in and briefly getting under from the right side. Big Betty then tried to get under from the left side, but instead rode over Phrizbee's wedge and was briefly shoved. Big Betty continued to maneuver around the crippled Phrizbee, trying to find a way to get under, but it was unable to before the time ran out. Due to the burning out of Phrizbee's drive motor, Big Betty won the resulting judges' decision, crowning it as the BattleBots Rochester R3 heavyweight champion.
