Bad Attitude was a middleweight that competed in all five televised seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots.

It started out as a single-wedged robot with narrow wheel guards on the sides for Season 1.0 but this was upgraded to completely cover the sides for Season 2.0. Season 4.0's design was still four-wheel drive, but now featured a parallelogram wedge, so could lead with the wedge even if inverted, painted red and blue. On the front wedge were a set of serrated teeth to damage the opponent as they drove up the wedge. It did very well in competition, winning numerous fights, a Royal Rumble in Season 4.0 and being one of few robots to appear in all five televised seasons, almost always making the quarter-finals.

Tom Petruccelli also built Turtle for the 1997 US Robot Wars competition and entered it in BattleBots. After Turtle's first fight in Season 4.0, however, Turtle's driver had to leave and Petruccelli took Turtle. Due to already having a middleweight in the competition, Bad Attitude, Tom could not compete with Turtle but managed to get Jim Smentowski of Team Nightmare to do so instead.

A lightweight version was also built, called The Crusher.

Nasty Attitude 2005

A revamped Nasty Attitude in the 2005 RFL Nationals.

Bad Attitude also competed in Steel Conflict 3, where it racked up four wins including one against Viking Dragon before losing twice to Donald Hutson's Karcas. In the following event, Bad Attitude was not as successful, winning only once and losing to Devil's Plunger and Armadillo.

Bad Attitude also participated in the inaugural ROBOLympics in 2004, where it finished with a 4-2 overall record.

Later that year, it competed in Steel Conflict 5 under the name Nasty Attitude, facing the likes of WarSaw, Stewie, and Ze Uber Wedge and beating them all on the way to the finals, only to lose in a rematch against Max Wedge. Six months later, it took part in the 2004 RFL Nationals, where it won two fights but lost twice to Devil's Plunger.

Nasty Attitude later took part in RoboGames 2005, winning five battles to earn a Gold medal. It returned for the 2005 RFL Nationals, where it scraped out a close decision against The Mortician. Unfortunately, due to irreparable damage sustained in the bout, Petruccelli was forced to forfeit its next two matches against Devil's Plunger and Angry Asp, cutting its run short. This would be the last time Nasty Attitude ever competed.

Builder and driver Tom Petruccelli sadly died of a heart attack on May 3, 2010.
